About Me
My name is Alethea Brown, and I am a pianist based in Grand Junction, Colorado. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, I began playing piano at a young age, first learning by ear before studying music in high school and at the Palomba Academy of Music. After graduating from high school, I moved to Boston, Massachusetts, to continue my musical education at Berklee College of Music.
Now, years later, I have relocated to Colorado with my husband and our dog to begin a new chapter. Since moving, I have been actively involved in the local music scene, performing with area bands at gigs, festivals, events, and weddings, including playing at the Mesa Theatre with the local band Wave 11. Being raised within a rich blend of cultures has deeply influenced my musical identity, inspiring my passion for music and shaping how I perform, teach, and connect with others. As a teacher, I believe in building strong musical foundations while encouraging creativity, confidence, and a genuine love for music, tailoring each lesson to the individual goals and learning styles of my students.
